"Parisian Life"

     In the aftermath of the Revolution, a new aesthetic began to emerge and the status of « musician » evolved. Around the highly regarded and recognised figure of Pierre Baillot, violinist and pedagogue, a rich musical life developed in Paris, seeing concert and chamber music societies formed.

     Through this programme, we imagine what one of these « soirées » may have been like, in the company of three representative composers of the french style at the time.
